The Vanderbilt Assessment Council's Mission is...

...To provide information and technical expertise to assist the university community at all levels in gathering necessary feedback for improving the overall quality of assessment at Vanderbilt.

...To develop (establish) and encourage best practices in assessment for continuous institutional improvement.

...To promote continuous improvement of academic and administrative processes through assessment.

...To function as the central repository for assessment-related information as well as the distribution point for university-level assessment results
